Meta (Facebook & Instagram) has rolled out a critical policy update for advertisers targeting locations in India , especially those running real estate, finance, or investment-related campaigns.
Starting 28 July 2025, any ad that references investment opportunities or financial returns must be declared under Meta’s new category: “Securities and Investments.”
This affects all advertisers whose ads:
1. During ad setup, check the “Securities and Investments” category if your ad fits the criteria.
2. Complete SEBI verification (for registered entities), or alternate identity verification (for unregistered entities like educators, trainers, or agencies).
3. The beneficiary and payer details will be displayed publicly on the ad, ensuring transparency.
4. Meta will store the ad details for 7 years in its Ad Library, visible to the public.
